Recreation and Nature

Noord-Holland boasts a varied landscape of large forests, nature and recreational and lakes, as well as cultural heritage and other attractions. Naturally, the province endeavours to preserve and develop these, while continuing to fulfil the wishes of residents and visitors alike when it comes to recreational activities in the outlying areas. We also want to improve the quality of the existing nature areas and establish new ecological zones between the various nature areas.
